Finding books on MTEC Reading lists

To find books on your Reading Lists, see the box below which links to specific modules.

It's always best to follow the links to EBooks from the Library web pages rather than from within Blackboard. If the links don't work directly in your browser, you may need to login to the RAS server first - click on Library web pages > subject resources > MTEC to get back to this Guide..

If the recommended books are not available as EBooks, you can use the Distance Learning Service to request postal loans of printed books. You will be asked for your student ID and (if you have it) Smartcard number, which starts with U. You may also be able to access a university library close to your home using the SCONUL Access scheme.

If you're not sure, just email us at lib-sage@ncl.ac.uk, or phone 01912085414

The Informed Learner

Our new Informed Learner pages bring together a range of resources to help students with information literacy related study skills.

Each topic includes a PDF help sheet and a video and often an interactive activity as well.

You’ll find it directly here: http://www.ncl.ac.uk/library/subject-support/informed-learner/  and also under the Subject Support section of the Library website.

We'd welcome any comments on the toolkit, please email aimee.cook@ncl.ac.uk
