What is Rise Up?

Rise Up is part of the Career Services at Newcastle University. Within their team they can offer you tailored support and advice; perfect for aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners of the future.

So whether you want to develop enterprising skills, discuss an idea, start up or grow your business, Rise Up offers you expert guidance, training, resources and opportunities to help you explore and develop your entrepreneurial side.

The team of development officers, business advisers, professional partners and student interns can help you get the information, skills, support and connections you need.

If you are a registered student (undergraduate or postgraduate) or graduate of Newcastle University you can access Rise Up free and for life.

if you are a graduate student of the University you can borrow print books and access the physical libraries for a small fee under the Alumni scheme. if you need access to business journals, market research and company information, you can use the Newcastle BIPC at City Library free of charge.

COBRA

The Careers Service now offers access to a resource called COBRA. The provides information on businesses including start up data, factsheets, market reports, contacts and and sources of funding and support to help entrepreneurs and their advisers.
