• Most books are located at the LRC, 1st Floor. They are organised and arranged by the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) number.
• In general, the Dewey Decimal Classification classify the subjects as following:

• Each number signifies a particular subject. The number may be followed by decimal point and then further numbers as to narrow down the subject. 
• All books are arranged in DDC number orderly and then arranged alphabetically by three letters that follows the number (example: 612.311 BAC, 612.311 CON, 612.311 FAR).
• Shelf maker at the end of the shelf indicate where books with particular numbers are located and also give a basic guide to the subject coverage.

How to Find Ebooks 

You can search for ebook using Library Search by going to the library catalog. 

In the library catalog page, on the search box, type "ebook" 

All the ebook titles will be listed and you can browse from here to choose the ebook that you would like to access. 

For example, you want to read this ebook, click at "Online access" 

A Newcastle University library page will appears. Click on the database to get the full text.
