Philosophical Studies: Finding Philsophical Studies resources

Library and information resources for Philosophical Studies staff and students at Newcastle University

New for 2016/17! More great new online resources

Great news! We've invested in a brilliant range of online resources for the new academic year. Following resource trials and consultation with students and staff, we've added millions of pages of historic newspapers, archives, ebooks, journals and literary texts, together with multimedia and other learning resources.

Whatever your subject area, you're sure to find something useful. Just explore the tabs on this box for full details!

Great news! We have added two new collections to our British Library newspaper portfolio. These add over 70 new regional titles, including local papers such as the Newcastle Journal, Sunderland Daily Echo, Shields Gazette, and Morpeth Herald, together with key titles from Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds and elsewhere. The new coverage is mainly from the nineteenth century.

We've bought six new ebook collections from Bloomsbury, adding 350 new titles in the following subject areas:

Linguistics and Applied Linguistics

Film and Media Studies

Law (Contract, Tort and Restitution)

Law (Constitutional and Administrative)

Law (Hart Publishing)

You can find all the titles individually on Library Search, or browse each collection by clicking on the relevant subject above.

We've upgraded our Taylor and Francis subscription for social sciences and humanities journals, giving us access to nearly 200 new titles across many subject areas. You can download or view a full listing of all the titles in this package.
