Special Collections are unique and rare resources held by Newcastle University’s Robinson Library comprising of published and archival material. They support both teaching and valuable, original research by students, faculty members and external researchers alike.

Web of stories

Norman Greenwood established the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at Newcastle and has had an illustrious career, eventually moving on to Leeds University. In 2011 he was interviewed by Brian Johnson to create an oral history of his life.  This has  been released on the internet and can be found on the Web of Stories website. There are many reminiscences of the development of Chemistry at Newcastle.
