Newcastle University Library and School of Chemistry: Information for small and medium sized chemistry companies in the North East

The University Library

You'll find lots of information about the Library on our website

Access to Research

Access to Research service is a pioneering national scheme offering free online access for the general public to academic journals and conference proceedings. It covers all subjects so complements our subscriptions.

In our region, you can get access to the scheme via Newcastle City Library Service. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Access the Journals. You can either browse all journals or enter a keyword, title or author.  You can check online to see which journals are available but you will need to go into one of the public library branches to use the service.

What does the Library have?

The University Library has 1.5 million printed books and thousands of journals. External members can use our print collections and can access some electronic resources whilst within the Library building.
