Medicine in Literature is a diverse collection of resources related to health, healing and being human. From books and graphic novels to films and poetry, the collection seeks to complement learning by showcasing a wide range of voices, perspectives and experiences of topics you might encounter in your lectures.
Despite its name, the collection isn't just aimed at medical students. It started out in 1996 as a reading list looking at how doctors were portrayed in books and films, but it's since expanded to cover a huge range of themes relating to health and science. If you're a Faculty of Medical Sciences student interested in exploring your subject from a new perspective, or if you just want an interesting new book to read, dive right in!
