This guide aims to highlight and curate useful information resources relating to EDI themes, and provide easy access to them in one place. We hope it will promote awareness and discussion, broaden horizons, and challenge us all.  It will highlight information resources of all types, within and beyond the Library; including books, social media, films, archives, and much more. 

It will start off by focusing on the theme of race equality, and then develop in stages to include other themes, such as those listed in the University's EDI priorities. To keep up to date with EDI at NCL, please subscribe to the university's EDI newsletter.

We want this guide to be a community-led, 'live' and evolving guide that constantly develops with the input of students, staff, and other partners. You can contribute by suggesting a resource, asking us to buy a book, or giving feedback: whether it's a reading list rating or a short review. 

These are big topics, and the guide can never be exhaustive, but we hope it helps to get people thinking and sharing resources. As the University's EDI strategy says, "equality, diversity and inclusion is everyone’s business."
