Usually, you’ll need to look beyond Library Search for these information types; some are accessed via specialist databases, while others are available online via websites, social media or streaming platforms.

Access full access to the current edition of the Financial Times via the FT.com website via Library Search for free. Search for current articles on hot topics in the business world, global economy and international affairs. When accessing FT.com for the first time log in using your Newcastle University username and password, then create your own personal 'MyFT' account to set up alerts and save topics of interest.

Delivers full text access to high quality technical literature, journal articles, conference papers and standards, from the IEEE and IET. Covers topics such as electrical engineering, computer science, and electronics.
The Library is building a collection of historic computing books, under the guidance of Professors Brian Randell, Cliff Jones and John Lloyd. The main collection is housed at the Team Valley Research Reserve. Individual items are indexed in Library Search.
