4. Edit and tag items on your list
Adding items onto your list is straightforward, especially if we have them in stock already. But you may wish to manage, change or amend your lists as the module progresses or when new items are published.
Adding Notes
The notes function allows you to enhance the information you provide to students, such as guiding their attention to specific chapters or themes within a text.
- When the citation is already on your list, click on the 3 dots which are on the right of the entry.
- A menu will be expanded as a pop up. Select the Edit Item option.

- Under Item actions you can add a public note e.g Read Chapter One or pages 5-31.
- From this menu you can also amend the tag if required.
Modifying the details of the reading list item
This is useful if you have added the record for a full book or journal but you now just want to highlight a particular chapter or journal article.
- When the citation is already on your list, click on the 3 dots which are on the right of the entry.
- A pop up will open with a menu where you can select Edit Item.

- On the Items details tab, you can modify the information Type, for example from Book to Book Chapter. The fields then change to allow you to add in the chapter name, chapter author, page numbers etc.
- Click on Save
Copy, move and delete items
Copying an item can be useful if you would like to highlight different chapters in sections of your reading list. You may also want to move an item to a different section or delete it.
- When the citation is already on your list, click on the 3 dots which are on the right of the entry.
- A pop up will open with a menu (shown below).
- You can Copy item to another section of your list. This is very useful if you are using different chapters from the same book in different weeks.
- You can Move Item to another part of your list.
- Or delete the item completely.
