A guide to creating, editing and managing your list

5. Order an e-book

If we have the item in stock and you've added the print record from Library Search but you like us to investigate availability of an e-book version, you can simply apply a tag. This will trigger an automated process whereby colleagues within the Library will seek to purchase an e-book on a suitable licence for the student number.

If you have added an item manually or using the Cite it! tool that is not in stock, the citation will also trigger a purchase order process as the system can identify that the citation does not have holdings attached to it via Library Search. The Library acquisitions team will investigate whether it is possible to order these items.Screen shot of edit item form
