Your subject-specific guide to using library resources.
The Student Common Room on the ground floor of the Law School is there for you to take a break from your studies.
As we ask you not to bring food or snacks into the Law Library (covered drinks only), this is the ideal place for you to go eat, rehydrate and socialise with your fellow students. There are hot water facilities and vending machines.
If you prefer, you can pop across to the Philip Robinson Library Café - and the city centre is not far away either.
Walk down the stairs to the Law School Main Entrance (note the toilets to the left) towards pause point Law 19
The Robinson Library Café is a great place to come and take a break from your studies. Recently refurbished, you’ll find lots of comfortable seating where you can enjoy a range of sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and snacks.
Take a wander through now, take a peek at the menu and see if they have your favourite snack!
Hot and cold water and vending machines are also available.
Look out for helpful signs around the Library that tell you about the food and drink permitted in each study area.
There are also a Library Help FAQ on the food and drink policies employed in the University Libraries.
This policy is intended to preserve our library materials, computer equipment & furnishings, and to maintain a pleasant, comfortable & hygienic environment for all our users and staff to work in throughout the year.
